At first, Jani carried out projects on a small scale. Gradually, growing demand made it possible to transition into full-time entrepreneurship.

In the early years, SCADA services provided steady work and took the young entrepreneur beyond Finland’s borders. A notable example was an extended assignment at a pulp mill in Uruguay, which deepened Jani’s expertise and broadened his understanding of demanding operating environments. The company hired its first employee in 2007. Today, Energineering employs more than ten specialists, along with a wide network of subcontractors and partners. Looking ahead, the company aims to grow its team and expand operations to new locations.

In the beginning, the company’s office was located on the upper floor of Jani’s home. Moving to the Runkotie industrial area provided improved facilities for a growing team, as well as space for developing and building new products. In early 2026, the company relocated to the Päivölä quarter, bringing more functional workspaces, a modern meeting room, and enhanced testing capabilities in a large laboratory.

Over the years, the company’s services and solutions have evolved from remote control–related work into a comprehensive provider of electrical automation solutions and a contractor for demanding substation projects. Broad technical expertise and the ability to manage complex projects have enabled long-term customer relationships. The company’s success is rooted in Männikkö’s innovation, strong technical expertise, and ability to identify customers’ real needs. Equally important is a skilled and committed team whose professionalism and collaboration are reflected in every project. According to Männikkö, the future looks bright.
